These photos are from last week. There was a light dusting of snow in the air in the morning but nothing stuck.

Today, however, is another story. We have our first winter storm and my first snow day of the year.

I wish I take a picture that would do the snow justice. It is so pretty out there.

So today I'm planning on doing a big exercise routine, some baking, lots of blog reading, and relaxing by the fire with my kitties.

It's a great day.

Not a Real Problem

I've been having a hard time picking my outfits this week because my clothes are all too big. I know, I know, not a real problem.

I've been tinkering with going carb free Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. So the last carbs I eat on those days are at lunch.

Bam, 5 pounds came off pretty fast which was awesome. I am not convinced it will stick because Christmas is right around the corner but it's pretty darn nice for now.

I don't always follow this rule but I try my best.  This week when RDog took me out for a mini date Tuesday night for a giant slice of chocolate cake with boiled icing (yum!). But overall, I like strict eating rules during the week and then eating what I want (within reason!) on the weekend.

I Don't Do Ugly Sweaters

Dress: H&M
Booties: Naturalizer

I wore this dress to RDog's staff Christmas party. He mentioned casually a few weeks ago that it was an ugly sweater party but I didn't think everyone would wear an ugly sweater.

Everyone did.

I stood out like a sore thumb.

Oh well, I felt pretty hot wearing this dress. It was worth the carb free days I suffered through beforehand.

Beer Fairy

November 29, 2012

November 29, 2012

Top: Old Navy
Skirt: Talbots
Shoes: Naturalizer

Yah, it's December!

I was inspired by Pinterest and decided to do a beer advent calendar for RDog. I hit the liquor store last Friday and spent a looong time pursuing the beer aisles picking out 24 different kinds of beer. I even had a few gentlemen help me.

RDog's first beer of the month.

The beer has been a big hit so far.

RDog woke up early Sunday morning and sat straight up in bed exclaiming, "I wonder what kind of beer I got today."

Silly boy, I'm not like the tooth fairy; I don't bring beer while you sleep.

I've been deluding myself about about how much shopping I've been doing. This is really too much. There is also the maybe purchase of an H&M dress for a party we haven't decided for sure if we are going to.

I've have to see what unworn stuff I can return. Do I really need two new blazers? Another sequinned shirt? Oih. . .
