Best Husband Ever

RDog and I had a little bet going on for the past two months. He bet I couldn't make it two months without online shopping. If I could do it, a present would be mine. I did it and here is my present.

Good things come in gold boxes.

The best husband award goes to RDog because I LOVE my new watch. It was totally worth it because not only do I have a a pretty watch but also a lighter credit card bill. I'm going to try my best away from the online shopping. Not a ban altogether but just a lighter online shopping regimen. I shouldn't be buying things online every couple of days like I was in December. That was BAD!

Feeling like Betty Draper, without the cheating husband

The day of our wedding anniversary, we took off on a mini getaway. I was in a Betty Draper dressing kind of mood.

Dress: Martin and Osa
Belt: Forever 21
Shoes: My Naturalizer wedges, that I may wear out by summer's end.

I'm a bit wrinkled because we spent a few hours in the car. We also did some shopping and RDog didn't complain once and he bought me stuff. KDot was a happy lady!

In the evening, we went to a steakhouse for dinner. That was my gift to RDog because I don't eat steak. There was only one dish on the menu that I could eat. He really enjoyed all the meat talk and chowing down on a red hunk of meat. Yuck! I was happy because the restaurant had divine creme brule and I was able to wear another dress.

Dress: H&M
Clutch: Nine West

I pulled out my Betty Draper red lip lipstick. It was cold and we were right on the water so I had to add a J Crew cardigan.

Then I had to do some twirls because I felt pretty.

Hubby is home and he brought presents!

DH arrived home from San Franscico late last night. He goes away to work conferences about twice a year and always comes home bearing gifts. I think this is partly to stem my excessive whining that he is going away while I stay home. He always buys me something I would not normally buy myself. This time he really spoiled me.

I have always wanted a Burberry purse. On our last U.S. shopping trip, I told myself I WAS going to buy one. We go down to the States twice a year to go outlet shopping. When push came to shove, I couldn't bring myself to make the big purchase. I am by nature a very cheap person and I couldn't do it, even with the discounted outlet prices. I had a feeling that DH would buy me a bag while he was gone, but I was expecting a very small handbag. This is what I got.

Isn't she pretty? I LOVE it. I still fell guilty though because I know how much he spent on me. I know that he was talking about buying a Burberry present for himself but chose instead to spoil me. What a great husband I have.

Kitty also enjoyed this present but for different reasons. I think this is the nicest box she will ever sit in.
