Reality Robin TV
Sweater: J Crew Factory
Necklace: Joe Fresh
Belt: J Crew
Pants: Gap
Shoes: Karen Scott
Today, the weather took a turn for the cold. I couldn't bring myself to wear tights. I . . . just . . . couldn't . . . do . . . it. So pants it was. The weather also dictated our photo shoot location (that phrase sounds glamorous, don't ya think). It was raining so we moved into our screened in porch which still hasn't entirely been cleaned up for the summer, hence the mess behind me.
Coincidentally, it is right beside our screened in porch that some robins decided to make their nest. They actually built it on our outdoor light. Our cat, Ruby, loves to hang our in the porch but now has special visitation times (whenever the robins are not home). We tried to explain this to her, but she doesn't understand. Ever try to tell a cat she can't do something that she really wants to do? Cats don't really like that.
Here is the nest in its beginning stages.
Lots of work was completed today. The whole nest foundation has been cemented with a good layer of mud. I can't wait to see what happens next; it's like reality robin tv!

I love your "reality robin TV"! We had a hummingbird nest outside of our 4th floor office window for the longest time. Then a horrible bird came and stole the eggs. :( It was a shocker of a last episode. Can't wait to see the results of your show! I L-O-V-E that sweater and necklace. You look so polished and professional and smashing and.... and... and...! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry. We're having a lot of fun watching the birds. We bought a woodpecker feeder yesterday for the two woodpeckers that are hanging around.
ReplyDeleteKDOT, todays pictures are exquisite! very magazine-like. :)
ReplyDeletestaying tuned for the nest (next) episode of the show! ;)

Thanks Kimchi Girl, RDog is becoming quite the talented photographer.
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern of that cardigan! Lovely :) I've never heard of The Stone Carver - I will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteThe nest is so pretty. I like your cardi, too. It's the perfect compliment to your post :)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit too, the sweater is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace and cardigan are so pretty! Wish I'd picked that necklace up at Joe Fresh when they had it.
Katherine, it's set during World War One but is not a typical "war novel". If you like historical fiction, you may like this one.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gigi. I can't wait to see some pretty little robin babies!
ReplyDeleteStephanie, I see the sweater sometimes pop back up on J Crew's site.
Overcaffeinated, I love Joe Fresh's jewelry! At my store, the jewelry is buried in the pharmacy and is not a hot seller. The result is lots of jewelry sales! I love it!
...I like that sweater too, but do not have it...it looks really nice. I guess it saves me money to just look at catalogs and shop vicariously.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Haven't stopped by for awhile and girl you are looking hot! Love this outfit! You are looking so slim, guess your clean eating worked, me notsomuch sticking to it..... oh well you've inspired me!
