Old School
Dress: RW & Co.
Jacket: Forever 21
Boots: Naturalizer
My photographer was unavailable so I had to do it up old school with the tripod and remote.
I've had this jacket in my closet for at least a year but have never worn. I love the polka dots but wasn't sure about the boxy fit. It's a hard jacket to wear. Anyone have any tips for boxy jacket wear?

I have a similar jacket that I wear with dark straight leg jeans. I agree it's a hard shape to wear since it obscures the usual hourglass line, which is why mine stays in the closet for all but 2-3 days per year. :-/
ReplyDeleteI simply adore this jacket. How you've styled it here is perfect. I think as long as you keep slim lines underneath you should be good!
ReplyDeleteI love s jacket and it is lovely how you wear it. I agree with previous comments, you have to keep the bottom slim... It should also look great with slim trousers....
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I just kicked a beautiful, tweedy jacket of a similar style out of my cart yesterday. Loved the fabric, but being a top-heavy hourglass, I just don't see it ever working for me.
ReplyDeleteHaley, I will have to try it with straight leg jeans. I think the reason I haven't worn it is because usually I am all about the hourglass.
ReplyDeleteChanknits, it sounds like you made a good choice. Hopefully you can fund a similar fabric in a better style.
