After reading Shasta's raves on the Clarisonic, I decided that I HAD to have one. I put it on my birthday list but RDog had a hard time finding one. Apparently Clarisonics are an item that Sephora is not allowed to sell to Canadians. So I hit EBay and tonight my Clarisonic arrived!
I can't wait to try it out. The thing has to charge for 24 hours! Ack.
Right now, I basically just slap any ole cleanser on my face. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good cleanser to go with my new toy? I have an oily forehead and still deal with pimples. Yuck! Oh, and any cleanser that I try has to be fairly easy to find in Canada-land. I think I've had enough of the witch hunts for facial products.

I got my clarisonic after reading about the raves on shasta's site too! I sent her a few emails and never heard back, so I went bravely on my own. Loving it!!
ReplyDeleteI have one as well, I have a pink one! I really do love it but broke out something fierce on my chin for some reason. I changed my cleanser and went through some pretty bad stress as well as stopped taking my vitamins so I think that's what really caused it and not the Clarisonic. But just to be on the safe side, I'm taking a break from it anyway.
ReplyDeleteMs. B... I understood that it "unearths" buried issues, so it does take time for them to surface and the clean skin to show. I had that issue too, and for me it wasn't the cleanser or the actual clarisonic for that matter, but my skin. It's feeling and looking better now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your Clarisonic!
ReplyDeleteMy Clarisonic came in the mail today too! I bought the new "mini" one. We'll see how it goes. I already used mine tonight. I just let it charge for a few hours and put it back on the charger once I was done. I really, really, really hope it doesn't make my already acne prone skin freak out more. I've already been on Tazorac for a couple months now and don't want to go back to "purge" mode. Good luck! Keep us updated!
ReplyDeleteOne of my dear friends got one last December and swears by it. She has major problem skin (rosacea, acne, dryness) and it has improved her skin so much! Best of luck!!
ReplyDeleteI got mine from Shasta about two weeks ago and saw an immediate difference in my skin. My forehead is breaking out terribly now so I hope it's just the purge stage, but the rest of my skin looks great! I find that non-foaming cleansers work best. I'm still trying to find just the right one, though. I saw Philosophy now sells a set with Clarisonic so maybe their Purity cleanser works well with it. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI got mine from Shasta a few weeks ago and I love it. It's so fun to use that I look forward to washing my face twice a day. For cleaners, mine came with three samples and I like the blue one and the white one. I also use my Neutrogena grapefruit "oil free acne wash" with it in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteI've used to Clarisonic twice and it is a lot of fun. It's more gentle on my skin than I expected. Already my skin feels soft. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm interested in trying one out. How do you buy one from Shasta?
ReplyDeleteI love my Clarisonic! I've had it about a month or so. I used up the three cleansers that went with it and have been using either Cetaphil or the Clean & Clear with Benzoyl Peroxide.
