Everything in it's Right Place

Dress: Liz Claibourne (thrifted). I found this dress last weekend and love it. It has a cute little gingham pattern. But I wonder if it is a little too long. What do you think; does it need a hem job?
Belt: H&M
Shoes: Naturalizer

I'm listening to Radiohead today. Everything in it's right place has got to be one of my favorite songs. That's RDog rubbing off on me. It only took ten years together for him to convince me that his favorite bands are the best. :P

  1. It's very nice now, but I think if it were knee-skimming it would be quite cute with heels or with sandals (if you rolled the sleeves). Great find!

  2. I like it! And *I* think it would look nice with a crinoline underneath! Poof the skirt out a little, shorten it a tiny bit, and amp up the retro vibe a little bit more. I love that it has pockets. Great find!

  3. beautiful. I agree with Haley that it should be hemmed at or just above the knee.

  6. Delurking here - I love the dress but would love it more hemmed at or just above the knee. I wore a skirt yesterday of similar length (it's highwaisted) and decided to take it to the tailor at the end of the day. I was straying too far into retro librarian territory (I love the style but it doesn't work for me at the company I work for). It would look great in summer with rolled sleeves, espadrilles, and a bright colored wide belt. Perfect outfit for a BBQ!

  7. I agree with you all. It is going in the "to be tailored" pile. Now I just need to get to the tailor; this pile is getting high!
