Happy Anniversay RDog

Today is our second wedding anniversary. Here are a few pictures from our special day. It feels like it was only a few months ago; it's hard to believe it has been two years.

I wanted a rustic sign pointing the way to the wedding. This is what my Dad came up with.

The setting was my parents' back yard.

Wedding

I always knew I wanted to get married here. My parents worked so hard to make that happen for me.

Wedding

It's my favorite place in this world. So peaceful and quiet.

  4. This is so gorgeous! I am currently in the throes of planning my daughter's garden party wedding, which will be held in our backyard. Our not nearlyinmywildestdreams anywhere near the size of your parents yard! We live in the city and are having 45 people for the ceremony and 85 in total for the reception. After seeing these incredible pics I hope we have room for all! Yikes!

How many guests did you have?

  6. We had around 125 guests.

I am lucky that my parents live in the country and have a huge backyard (2 acres of land all together). My father is also a landscaper and carpenter so the yard looked awesome. He also built the gazebo for the occasion.

Because I was worried about bugs (it's in the woods) and feeding so many people outside, we had our reception at a hotel in "town". We had a little cocktail hour after the wedding at the house with food and wine that a friend of the family did for us as our wedding gift.

Good luck with the planning! I truly miss the planning part. It was so fun!
